![]() Probably something about the web browser you are using made KAYAK think you are a bot. They tend to try to cram large suitcases in the overhead bin, and they prattle on about celebrities they know while you are trying to watch the movie. For example, we don't want bots running about trying to book airline tickets. Bots are generally a good thing, but some web pages are for humans only. KAYAK uses bots to search for travel deals. Search engines like Google use robots to build up search results. What is a bot?Ī bot, or robot, or crawler is software that visits web sites and collects data from them without a human present. Certainly a lot nicer and maybe it wasn't peak visitation time.If you are seeing this page, it means that KAYAK thinks you are a "bot," and the page you were trying to get to is only useful for humans. We made a repeat visit the next month and stayed Hotel Lulu for about the same price. Obviously not the most affluent guests, but everyone seemed respectful. We didn't hear any arguments outside (very common at cheaper motels), but occasionally there were people talking rather loudly early in the morning while loading their cars in the parking lot. But when we got there it was fine for just a place to sleep for a night. And there were complaints about noise and various "activities" going on. The reviews weren't very good other than noting an extremely helpful employee. It was old and it looked like the walls had been repainted over and over, while more expensive hotels would have paid to remove the paint before it got to that point. Got a somewhat sketchy motel in Buena Park via Hotwire opaque booking. I had a limited budget last July and needed one night almost anywhere close to where I could travel via ART. The hotels/motels that are a little bit closer to Disneyland on Harbor would be on the #4 Harbor Line. Transportation might be a bit tricky since the closest ART stop is more than a half mile away. I ran into a couple of the coaches who I recognized and chatted a few times. ![]() And Cal was there too, which was really weird. There were players staying on our floor and many had left their practice uniforms in front of their rooms to be washed, which was rather nasty. And that was especially odd because there was a preseason college basketball tournament at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Hilton Anaheim was the official hotel for the tournament. But I remember Thanksgiving weekend had almost no convention activity and it was $99 a night. The biggest problem was that it was huge. Once we even used it as a base for visiting Universal Studios. We stayed at the Hilton Anaheim a couple of times. A few times the pickings were slim, especially with narrow spaces and where some cars went across the lines. Nice hotel but the parking situation there is horrible with limited space at a surface lot. ![]() I store most of my reservations in PDF form and looked it up - $120 a night back in 2016. Oh - I was thinking about the one at the corner of Harbor and Katella. The convention center hotels can be really inexpensive if there's no major conventions. In previous stays we were at the Hilton Anaheim where it was $99 or $59 a night or the Sheraton for $99 a night, although they all charged for parking. You can look around for other motel style accommodations, but I guess there are a couple of Motel 6 locations in Anaheim.īut Anaheim can have some great values. ART also stops right in front, although it's on the street and not into the parking lot. The people we met at breakfast seemed to be more visiting family and/or a lot going to Knott's Berry Farm. Not exactly that similar, but it was affordable and had a decent complimentary breakfast. It was maybe a 10 minute drive to Disneyland since it's almost right there to I-5. We had a hard time finding anything affordable for one visit (around New Year's) and stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Orangethorpe. If it's not too far away for you, in Buena Park it's not so bad. It was pretty nice although I had a really weird experience in one of the hostel rooms with a fellow guest who eventually left before anyone called for police. Unless it's the hostel in Anaheim that's more a few hostel rooms combined with a motel. I haven't really stayed at any kind of motels in Anaheim.
